If you want a sweet horse that is gorgeous and just as good on the
trail, look no further! MG has miles of trail experience and enjoys
going out for a trail ride.
Traffic safe, crosses bridges and tressels with no issues...even ran
across a 300lb black bear a couple weeks ago and he just startled in
place no real spook. Crosses water easily (loves to paw in it). He
has a real easy handle, rides in a Myler snaffle with short shank
and chin strap - very responsive, would probably ride in just about
anything. Flexes well at the poll for a nice look. Moves out with a
ground covering walk, LOVELY FOX TROT (easy gait that is very
smooth!), then he also trots regular and has a nice canter/lope as
well! He has wonderful ground manners, great with farrier,
vet, loading, bathing etc. Easy to catch. Big kind liquid eyes. He
is a light buckskin in winter but when summer comes on he darkens to
a deep deep gold with dapples! All the dark points and has a 2-tone
dark/silver mane. No known vices** - no cribbing, chewing, biting,
bolting, rearing etc....just not in him. He is good in a stall or
with turnout. **He does like the ladies so if in a mixed herd he
will pick out a mare to be his girl and protect her from the other
geldings... can still go out and catch him and bring him in and ride
him out without any issues. So his only fault (if you want to call
it that) is that he's a ladies man. If pastured alone with other
geldings he gets along very well with all of them - may pick out one
to be his buddy but does fine. MG is a good boy who is
reliable on the trail. He enjoys trail riding, responsive and ears
up... doesn't really like ring riding but will do it just slower and
boring for him. He is fine for an adv beginner - intermediate rider.
Note: MG stands for "mom's gelding". He has been my mother's horse
and she adores him, but is disabled and just doesn't ride anymore.
So with all the heart strings attached to this guy we will require a
contract with a buy back option if you ever have to part with
him....no trader's or re-saler's - just a good person looking for a
great horse to buddy up with and hit the trails!
Nationwide delivery can be arranged.
